Anna Hsu , MD FACS

Dr. Anna Hsu was chosen as the Los Angeles region Alumni Scholar to the University of California-Los Angeles as well as a Distinguished Scholar.  She was awarded the National Convention Leadership award by the Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society.  While majoring in Biology, she ranked top of her class at UCLA and was awarded Departmental Honors upon graduation. 

After her undergraduate studies, she was admitted to the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.  While a medical student, she received Letters of Distinction in both Doctoring and Surgery.  These awards were given to students who exhibited exemplary knowledge and skill in the art of being a doctor as well as the field of surgery.  Also, she was elected by her peers as the President of the American Medical Association/ California Medical Association, UCLA chapter.    

After medical school, she received her training at Los Angeles County Hospital-University of Southern California.   She served as the chief resident in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at USC during her training.  To this day, she remains a clinical assistant professor at USC.  After her residency, she was recruited to join the faculty at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. While an attending physician at CHLA, she taught residents and medical students.  

Currently, she is an attending at the UCLA Arthur Ashe Health and Wellness Center where she teaches the skill of head and neck exams to Internal Medicine residents.  While at UCLA, she has taken on the role of mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.  It has always been her passion to give back to her community.  Her deep love of voluntarism and commitment to help others have led her to co-found two organizations while at UCLA: The Cardiovascular Wellness Program and Volunteers in Cancer Education. 

Most recently, she has taken on leadership roles at the national level in the Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.  Currently, she serves on the committees to help compose learning materials for the academy and help positively impact the field.

Given her expertise in her field, she has been chosen as the American’s Top Doctor consistently every year since 2008.  As well, she was recently awarded Top Surgeon in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Top Rhinoplasty Surgeon.  She received multiple recognitions including, the Top women in medicine, Best of Beverly Hills Award, and the California Magazine Top Doctors-Top Facial Plastic Surgeons.
